What The Litigation Is About

The Republic of Argentina (the “Republic”), on or about December 23,
2001, in breach of its express promise to pay principal and interest,
declared a moratorium on the payment of principal and interest with respect
to all of its foreign debt.  Following that declaration, the Republic failed to
make any payment of principal or interest to any bondholders.  If you are a
bondholder of certain bonds issued by the Republic of Argentina your rights
may be affected.  Multiple lawsuits were filed in the United States District
Court for the Southern District of New York on behalf of certain individual
bondholders and others on behalf of a class of bondholders alleging that the
Republic’s default is a breach of contract based upon the Republic's failure
to pay principal and interest on its bonds.  If you are a current bondholder in
a case where a class has been certified as a class action by the court then
you are a member of the class in that case.  If, however only an individual
action was brought or the case was not certified as a class action then you
remain unrepresented and unprotected.  For more information, please call
